Dayton Right to Life- A Model for the Nation!
Dayton Right to Life is an outstanding organization based in Dayton Ohio. Their mission is: Promoting Life through
Education and Action!
Dayton Right to Life distinguishes itself from most other pro-life organizations in their local area, as well as
nationwide. They are one of the largest chapters in the state of Ohio, and larger than some state chapters
nationally. Dayton Right to Life fulfills their mission by performing five distinct functions:
Locally, they are the primary source of information regarding abortion and pro-life issues. In addition, they
distribute their educational brochures all over the United States, as well as worldwide, including Ireland, the
Virgin Islands and Australia.
Their brochure entitled “Just The Facts” continues to be one of the leading brochures which simply states seven
facts about the abortion issue, addressing any arguments to those facts. Their brochures which address the abortion
statistics among African Americans are very popular also. Dayton Right to Life also designs billboards, and media
print ads. The “Miracle of Life” mugs, baby bibs, mouse pads, abstinence brochures and abstinence jewelry are other
items they sell.
Dayton Right to Life focuses on legislative initiatives and influences local legislators at both the state and
federal levels on the importance of exhibiting a pro-life philosophy as a public official.
They educate the students in their community, promoting pro-life leadership so that our young people can continue
the awesome task of promoting the sanctity of human life.
Dayton Right to Life supports their Black Americans for Life organization and plans to build on the national
attention it has attracted in creating awareness of the tragic effects abortion has on the black community.
Dayton Right to Life has a variety of programs including parenting classes, counseling services, and scholarships.
Their parenting classes continue to grow as they bring hope to the young mothers and their children in the Dayton
community. They also provide a baby pantry for new mothers, who choose to keep their babies, where they can recieve
basic needs such as diapers, formula, blankets and clothes.
This is an amazing organization. They are proactively involving themselves in this issue and reacing out to men and
women through education and services. Their website just doesn't do them justice. The HFA leadership strongly
endorses the Dayton Right to Life organization and holds it as a productive, proactive model for communities and
Right to Life organizations throughout the United States. They are truly promoting life through education and
action!
